I've been reading an old 'Record Collector' from July 1998,and a letter discusses the Dusty Springfield show 'Decidedly Dusty'.It says that it's quite true that none of the shows exist...at least in the UK. I've discovered that audios from the show have been issued dustyspringfield.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2016&start=140 ,but still don't know about the visuals.Anyone know?

While I'm grateful to everyone who's uploaded stuff to Youtube,I do so hate it when there's marvelous material with no indication of where it originates.

The 'Ain't No Sun Since You've Been Gone' youtube clip is from a 1969 TV special in Germany (featuring guests Procol Harum) which is currently available on dvd as Dusty in Deutschland. Incredible footage by the way of Dusty & Hendrix - Ever hopeful this material turns up if at all it was syndicated (& retained) abroad.

I've come across someone with Dusty DVDs for sale who was expecting Decidedly Dusty to arrive "any day".That was a few years ago...Should this make me more or less sure that it survives,I wonder?

It would be marvelous to recover additional footage from any of the lost Dusty series from BBC and ITV. From her first BBC series (1966) shows 1, 2 and 5 remain missing though at least one bit from show 5 has surfaced, apparently filmed whilst viewing the show on TV: youtu.be/tBVlqTQfEPMThe only known clip from ITV series It Must Be Dusty (1968) is the Jimi Hendrix sequences. No clips from Decidedly Dusty are known to exist. Audio recordings exists for all her TV series, with eternal thanks to adoring fans who sat silently in front of their televisions and diligently recorded each performance.

Absolutely!
Also "missing believed wiped" is her 1968 BBC special Dusty at the Talk of the Town (if I am not mistaken, the first BBC special filmed in colour or something to that effect) and her 1973 30-minute mini-masterpiece Music My Way, also BBC. Both presently exist in audio-only form, sourced from fan-made home recordings.

The aforementioned audio-only recordings are available from the Let's Talk Dusty forum, accessible as digital downloads upon making a small donation via Paypal which is then forwarded to the Royal Marsden (where Dusty received her cancer treatment before her death). dustyspringfield.org.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=33

I like following up clips and dates. Ok - the above clip - better viewed here:- www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBVlqTQfEPM....can be joined with this one from the same episode:- www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jv9gmVDiDwk which is basically the playout. I think this is the following; 8mm footage several generations down with the audio from a reel-to-reel synched on it. I admit, not the best quality, but this is very wonderful that it exists at all! So, to recap, from the Dusty Spirngfield Show 15/09/1966 - and missing.

I put money on it, somewhere.... ""06.10.66 with Bill Dana, Dusty Springfield, The Everly Brothers, Les Volants, El Gran Tominsko Holding = NT, Source = 40."" "" Out of an original total of 9 episodes, none are missing or incomplete, but 8 episodes exist on formats inferior to the original.""
