On one side of the coin, I agree with you that a publicity blitz after the recovery has not produced an immediate response. That being said, I think the long term publicity for missing Dr Who motivated Terry to be asked about missing episodes which caused the return of the two new episodes. While Im not in love with the new series, I think it has caused a new generation of fans to be out there supplying publicity for the series which will take up the mantle for us in the future to look for episodes and reconstruct them. That is true. If people really like the new series, a number of them will be tempted to watch all of Doctor Who from the beginning. When they discover that episodes have been lost, they might keep an eye out for anything in a 16mm film can. There is a slim possibility that some new fans might have aging relatives with film collections that have old prints in their possession, and they just don't know it, yet.

i think there might be some doctor who episodes like the macra terror in uganda. I'm sure you hope there might be, but do you have any sound reason to think this, or have you just plucked a story and country at random..? I'm guessing the latter...

No. You're not 100% sure. You 100% hope. That is all. Unless you have in your hands a missing episode that you are about to return. Will people on this forum please start understanding the difference between "knowing" and "hoping", because frankly, it's getting on my tits. Amen to that... You can be SURE 100% that something will happen, HOPE 100% that it will happen, but never KNOW 100% that it will happen until it does happen. For instance, I am 100% SURE I will still be alive tomorrow; I HOPE 100% that I will be; but I don't KNOW 100% that I will be. Well... HOPE 100% you will be too, Jon. Even if I did rudely move house without telling you (I'm at Rotokauri now).

Has anyone checked out Pippa Middleton's bottom? I think it would be a good place to look.
Doubt there'd be any missing episodes there but it'd be a good place to look.

Only time will tell if and when something will happen. Then again I remember when The Time Meddler, The War Machines, Tomb of the Cybermen and all those odd episodes were thought gone for ever. So things are happening just not at the speed that we want it to happen.
