Isn't the Alvin Stardust one the Grand Final from the first series?  ""Missing or incomplete episodes for programme POP QUEST. Oh that's a shame, I'm on that one. As a contestant? That particular show was apparently a semi-final, the HTV region v London. Looks like they’ve still got copies of the first round shows involving those teams, HTV were on when Lynsey De Paul was the special guest (they played a video clip of Sparks doing “Get in the Swing“ that day, as well as 10CC’s “I‘m Not in Love“), London were on the first show with Marc Bolan, a clip of that is on you tube here… www.youtube.com/watch?v=DozqR_cP37MI’m pretty sure I did catch at least a few editions of the first series at the time they went out, but I don’t remember seeing Sparks on it. I’d like to imagine that Ron just sat and stared menacingly into the camera whilst Russell answered all the questions. Something was bugging me about this one, and I think it's because I'm sure it was Lynn Paul (ex of the New Seekers) not Lynsey De Paul. Lynn Paul was a sister of some friends of my syster (the family are surnamed Belcher), one of the other sisters professionally resurnamed herself Peters I believe. On the other series' front, I believe there was an 'all-time-winners' special that was due to be broadcast over a christmas, but never did owing to a strike, and it never got re-scheduled. |

Funnily enough, BOTH Lynsey de Paul and Lyn Paul appeared as special guests during the first series. Lynsey de Paul on Show 4 and Lyn Paul on Show 9.
