Hello Everyone,
Today I bought a large lot of U-matic 3/4" video broadcast tapes at a Flea market. The Seller told me that they came from the estate of a Channel 5 local news station producer.
Here is what the Doctor Who Box says.
"Doctor Who - Logopulis 4 Episodes - 1st 30 minutes"
Not sure if this stuff is rare but I thought I would let the experts here know what I have found.
Best Regards,
Robert Murray

Thanks John for the quick reply. I will report if I find anything else in the lot of 50 or more tapes. I will be viewing and transferring the interesting ones next week.

That's a thirty year old story so there may be some other, non Who, stuff.
It may not be rare but it could be of interest. Dr Who was, at that time, made in 25 minute episodes - but you appear to have something that's 30 minutes. Is it, perhaps, an example of how the programme was broadcast in the US, with adverts ? I'd like to see how they went to/from the adverts. Did they use a caption slide or just switch to the commercial break ? Did they pick a scene change for the break ? There might also be examples of US continuity.
