Favourite Dr Who episode (classic series)

I'm really stuck on which Dr Who episodes to watch because there are so many to choose from. If some people could list some of the favourite episodes in there eyes I would appreciate it very much. Looking for Hartnell, Troughton and Petwee episodes more than anything.

Well, as you ask, I would recomend these:
Incomplete stories:
Web of fear episode 1, Abominable snowmen episode 2, The Ice Warriors, The daleks masterplan episodes.
Complete stories:
Pertwee: Inferno, the sea devils, the silurians.
Troughton: Tomb of the cybermen, The Krotons.
Hartnell: The time meddler, the daleks.

All of those are out on DVD and on Amazon except for the Krotons which I think is out soon. Recomending stories is extremely subjective!

I can watch the incomplete episodes that have been reconstructed.... It's not as good, but it's still better than nothing.

The Krotons is one I have been looking for for a while. It's hard to find anywhere even on VHS, it costs like up to £50 for The Krotons VHS. Really do hope it's out soon.

No probs. I am pretty sure I heard the Krotons is due on DVD soon. Also worth bearing in mind that BBC worldwide have an official youtube channel, its their material so they can upload it if they like, and you can watch the krotons for free on that. I think its ok to link to material that the copyright holders have posted themselves:

Parts 9 and 10 of "The War Games" really stand out in my mind because that's when we first find out about the Time Lords.

Pertwee The Daemons 1-5 those epsiodes are my faves reason i like Tenth Planet 4 the regeneration from Hartnell to Troughton

There are really too many to list for myself here.However,some of my top favorites would have to be Day Of Armageddon,Evil Of The Daleks Episode:2,Web Of Fear Episode:1,The Mind Of Evil,The Ambassadors Of Death,And The Faceless Ones Episode:3 ( Had great atmosphere,shame the print was damaged as badly as it was towards the end in particular).However,fantastic work in restoration there.

My favourites are: Power of the Daleks [although it’s a bit slow in parts Troughton is very good – slightly odd and tone-perfect as a man coming to terms with a new identity], Web of Fear [best Doctor Who ever? Oh, I think so], The Aztecs [good pace, proper dramatic moments and some nice humour] Spearhead From Space [the alien threat on the high street – fab!] and Pyramids of Mars .

Yes, I know that Power and Web don’t exist in full but I’m lucky enough to remember them – one advantage of being an old bastard I guess. That said, the recons of both do them justice IMHO.
