As regular readers of this website may remember, I posted a little while ago about this series...
...but I thought you might like to know that yesterday I transferred 10 episodes of MARK SABER from 35mm to tape for a possible DVD release by the proper copyright holders of the series.
They include the very first episode - these are the original 35mm prints sent to the US to make the 16mm US TV syndication prints of THE VISE so that's the title sequence on them. So they're about 55years old but as they're all 35mm & in good nick as only run by film labs, they do look very nice.
I'll let you know more when I know any other news about possible release dates.
I know the NFTVA has a large number of MARK SABERS, predominantly in neg form (though I know a couple escaped for the Brian Clemens season last year) - but the sheer number of them and the fact they all need looking at before anything can be done with them means the costs are almost prohibitively too high on such a series. But at least some will be out in a good quality form as opposed to dodgy bootlegs or similar for a change.
By the way, if anyone knows who "sold" Mark Saber to Bravo a few years back please let me know as I'm trying to trace them. The people who took over Bravo (Virgin Media) have no files on this and I'm keen to find out where the prints were sourced from.

Man From Interpol was again shown by Bravo, like Mark Saber, after being purchased from someone who they don't have records for and may not have had the right to make such a a sale...
...again if anyone has off-air copies and can tell me if there's an end card with a compnay other than the Danzigers, I would be most eager to find out...
