Video is also cool because the Ice Warriors collection box set I have isn't out on DVD and video is the only way I can watch it... Videos will always be better than DVD in my opinion You mean you actually like crappy picture quality, dropouts, danger of tape creasing etc? And Ice Warriors will end up on DVD within the next couple of years anyway, isn't the DVD range supposed to be complete by 2013?

There are pages and pages of unsold Doctor Who videos in the Completed Items section on eBay so the majority of Who videos are not valuable. In fact, to get back onto the original topic, here's what The Ice Warriors VHS collection recently sold for: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260810952767Even the limited edition tins are struggling to sell (perhaps they weren't so limited after all!) I doubt there are many fans who have ALL of the following in their collection, though: BBCV2003, BBCV2012, BBCV2014, BBCV2019, BBCV2020, BBCV2030, BBCV2036

I have a betamax version VHS of Day of the Daleks that was one of the first to be commercially released.
I remember paying an absolute fortune for it at the time as it had to be ordered in specially. In those days the Dr. Who releases were for the rental market, they weren't designed to be sold in the shops.
I take it that being betamax might make it even rarer? Anyone able to hazard a guess what this would be worth?

I dont think you can put a value on it. Stick it on Ebay and ask for £150.

I used to value Beta and V2000 tapes at around 20% of the price of the equivalent VHS, simply because most collectors wanted tapes that would play on their current video machine. However, now that all video players are considered "retro", I've noticed a resurgence of interest in older video formats, so the demand may have increased for non-VHS.
Any value, of course, is purely speculative, as the real value of an item is simply whatever someone else is willing to pay for it...
