I'd pay a fiver for them as memorabilia... Here's more info on the 1983 video, BBCV3023: www.pre-cert.co.uk/cgi-bin/cms/Film/6098The other two videos are from 1989 and were actually released by Telstar, catalogue numbers TVE1006 and TVE1009.

I bought the 2 Telstar videos at the time as well as the Glam Rock videos as they were the only place IIRC at the time where you could get a number of archive TOTP performances all in one place, although it only made me want to be able to watch whole archive editions. Had to wait until UK Gold came along before that happened...

50 quid is a bit steep it has to be said!! Even half that is way over the top (in my opinion anyway!)
I think these are readily available converted to DVD on the usual TOTP circuit (along with the 1983 one) so I would steer clear of this at that price folks
Regards

The other two videos are from 1989 and were actually released by Telstar, catalogue numbers TVE1006 and TVE1009. They're not very good, either, I suppose they were interesting at the time, but not any more. Many of the clips you'll have already seen and "to give across the spirit of the show", there's also a pile of videos, which isn't what you want. Indeed there's a moment where Gary Davies talks about the first time he saw Blondie on Pops and Debbie Harry was wearing a really short skirt and it changed his life, so we link into... the video for Union City Blue with Debbie in a shapeless tracksuit! Also the captions are even worse than on TOTP2, and take an ages to scroll along the screen. During the Showaddywaddy performance we get "SHOWADDYWADDY HAD MANY OTHER HITS -REMEMBER WHO PUT THE BOMP IN THE BOMP-A-BOMP-A-BOMP!?!?!?!?!" and that's it. The only fun bit is that at the end they choose artists of today that are likely to enjoy continued success - ie, Dick Spatsley.

Amazingly this lot sold at the starting price of £50.00.
Just the one bidder but that's all you need to make a sale...
