It's LWT's "South Bank Summer" from 5/9/70 that also featured Deep Purple, Blue Mink, The Settlers and Peter "UFO" Straker

That's brilliant. I'd love to see more of that. You can't beat a bit of O.B V.T and in colour. I think that's the earliest footage I've seen of Mud. Rob looks strangely like Dennis Dunstable out of Please Sir! the first time we catch a proper view of him in that clip Rather ironic that Peter Denyer appeared with them in Never Too Young To Rock a few years later.

Is Deep Purple archived or just the Mud episode? It's just a single show - a one-off featuring all those artists. On the subject of early Mud, they also appear the same year in an existing edition of the BBC's children's show Ed & Zed.

Were they called Mud at this point. I always thought that they changed their name when they joined up with Chinn and Chapman. Phil

No, they changed their name from the Mouners in 1966, prior to the release of their first single in 1967.

'Apparently, the whole show (lostshows.com)' what? Exists? Do we know what Deep Purple performed?

Now this is interesting.Am left wondering now if might have been a rights issue possibly here?Just a note Ray,there is a modify option on all posts made on the forum here.No need to correct a typo with an entire new post???What is the reasoning there??Just wondering there is all.
I would be very interested to hear what track Deep Purple performed there as well.Possibly from the "Deep Purple In Rock" release possibly here?
Cheers,Lance.
