I have from time to time mentioned a totally different Top Of The Pops performance for 'Crazy Horses' which was used in the 'We Are Family' documentary but it never seems to to get much of a response. Maybe everyone is sick of 'Crazy Horses' but this clip looks really great and much more exciting than the one we all see time and time again. Does anyone know where this clip was sourced from and if so, does the full performance exist somewhere? I would love to see this in full. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQv3JsN-3_o

i love this song.I see what you mean about the black suits. The clip of the song seems to be made up of 3 performances of the song. One live, one familiar TOTP and one (in the black suits)
Is the black suit performance definitely from TOTP or another show? How many times did they perform the song on TOTP? Maybe the Osmonds keep an archive of their performances.

It must be from 02/11/1972. Ed Stewart (Wiped Show), their first apperance on totp for Crazy Horses.
It's definately not 16/11/1972 that's exactly the same as the one shown on the christmas show. That only leaves 07/12/1972 which according to common data is a repeat showing of a previous appearance.

so a possible lead there.Maybe the Osmond's or someone who worked on the documentary has a clip or the whole show. That would be a nice recovery

Very Interesting indeed, see exactly what you are saying there.First time have seen material featuring the black-suited Performance.Likewise am hoping further info can be obtained. As would love to see this material re-discovered here.Agreed, would recommend trying to contact the company for which this documentary was made. As,would think they would have full details there on sourced archival media materials used there.Have seen both the other presented Crazy Horses clips previously!
Cheers,Lance.
