Very interesting Mr. Barfe, thats tightened up the list somewhat.
Now - did it run 52 weeks a year, did it run concurrently with the other Palladium shows, and when was the last ep in the 1967 series?

Hello everyone,
I'm still ploughing through a list of guest stars!
The March 66 episode mentioned by Laurence was tx 20 March.
Spike Milligan was a guest on 31 October 1965 so maybe that one survives (also on the same show were Paul and Barry Ryan and George Raft - anyone ever seen them?).
As for summer seasons - Sunday Night was back on at least by 26 Sept 1965 because Peter, Paul and Mary, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, Frankie Vaughan and The Searchers were all on that show.
In 1966 there was a show on 19 June (with Joe Brown).
As for 67 the earliest reference I've found is one on New Year's Day (Roy Orbison, Des O'Connor and the Rockin' Berries) and the latest 21 May (Dickie Valentine).
However it came back in December and ran into early 1968! The Supremes were on 29 January 1968.
By the way all my information comes from a list of guest star stills that were taken on the show and obtained whilst at Central TV. (Only ever saw the list and not the stills!).

Some other guest details:
10/09/61 Bruce Forsyth Bob Hope 10/03/63 Norman Vaughan Judy Garland 13/10/63 Norman Vaughan The Beatles 12/01/64 Norman Vaughan The Beatles 23/08/64 Norman Vaughan Frank Ifield "10th year" (?) (clashes with Blackpool Night Out). 19/06/66 unknown or if even TX'd Joe Brown (clashes with Blackpool Show).
The Supremes were on 29 January 1968 - this date is a Monday.
THE LONDON PALLADIUM SHOW
19/01/69 unknown Judy Garland
"There's also one from '65 (the "new" format) that features Charlie Drake / Henry McGee talking about Kenneth Tynan's appearance on BBC-3. I've seen a Spike Milligan clip too from around then - I assume it's from the same edition as there are so few. "
Is this the "English Teeth" rendition by Milligan or is that the 31/10/65 edition?
My apologies to Mr Barfe - of course all the "New/London Palladium" shows aired on a Sunday, also Series 2 of The Blackpool Show from 25/06/67 to 13/08/67 were also Sundays did this interupt SNATLP or did the two shows air on a Sunday night that year?
This is as difficult as making up my Golden Shot list!

The BBC3 Tynan incident was 13-11-65, if that's any help in dating the SNATLP show that refers to it.

Yes, they say "the other day" or "last week" in reference to the Tynan incident (don't have the tape to hand right now to be specific) so it's likely the edition from the following Sunday.

We recently showed the Mario Lanza edition at the NFT. This was from 24.11.57 and Hughie Green was the host.

Ah, interesting! Do you know how many / which editions in total from the '50s / '60s survive, Dick?

sorry about the Supremes slip. I got my own notes wrong - it was 28 January 1968 on a show which also had Des O'Connor and Howard Winstone (who he?). In the same year I've got Dusty Springfield, Tony Bennett and Buddy Rich on 10 March. And possibly Les Dawson on the same show but a typo gives it as 10 October! Maybe in '68 it was a few one-offs rather than a regular series. But then you're right it was back on 19 January 1969 for Judy Garland, Freddie Davies and The Bachelors. I wonder who topped the bill for that show

Hmm, the 31/10/65 show must be the existing one as i've seen clips of Raft and Milligan. That doesn't explain the Charlie Drake appearance though, which, if the Tynan incident was 13/11/65, must be from a show soon after that - meaning another one exists from around this time.

And here's 1967-1969. I think we can see why the Rolling Stones caused so much fuss on the show - when the standard pop guests were the likes of The Bachelors and the Dallas Boys This whole thread began with a question about Vikki Carr unfortunately she's not mentioned on any of this stuff! However to make amends to Stephen Doran she appeared on - Frankie Vaughan Show in 1965 Tom Jones Show, Morecambe and Wise Show, Royal Variety Performance and somthing called 'Spotlight' in 1967 and the Des O'Connor Show in 1970.
