I know that there is a lot of unreleased Beat Club material, But is there any unreleased Beat Club performances available?
I know that recently, Voiceprint released a DVD of Yes which contained full non edited Beat Club performances and three different takes of one song!

The book was written by Thorsten Schmidt of "Kultur Buch Bremen", a small publisher in my hometown Bremen, Germany where all of the Beat-Club Shows were produced by the local german ARD networking station "Radio Bremen". The book is directly available fron "Kultur Buch Bremen" and is written in German about every single performance that has been recorded, broadcasted or unbroadcasted by Radio Bremen: www.kultur-buch.de/buchbeatclub.html

I hope that one beautiful day, Radio bremen will release DVD boxes of every single performance unedited.

The Led Zeppelin tracks have been broadcast on a special new programme series by Radio Bremen called "Vinyl" over the past three years, in which some of the unbroadcasted material from the various Beat-Club performances were shown for the first time ever on tv. Unfortunately the show has been canceled by Radio Bremen, although there's enough unbroadcasted Beat-Club material in the Radio Bremen archive at least for another 200 hours or so.

Another Unbroadcast performance from Beat Club that is now officially available is the Jimmy Ruffin classic "What becomes of the Brokenhearted" which has made it onto a Motown anniversary DVD special released by Universal a couple of years back.

It's a shame that these unreleased Beat Club performances along with the 1967 Small Faces colour edition couldn't have been included in the Story of Beat Club DVD sets! The colour Small Faces clips are widely bootlegged in excellent quality so the source shouldn't be to hard to track down!

Yes, I bought those Beat Club boxes myself. They're great sets but it would have been nice to see that 1967 edition in full colour. I've never seen those colour clips in anything other than poor quality so it would have made a nice bonus!

Well, I don't know, AFAIK neither Radio Bremen nor NDR television and their company "Studio Hamburg" have the couloured edition in their archives and it has since allway's been broadcast in b & w. The only source that claims to have an original copy in colour has still not come back in contact with me, so I don't know, if he's a good source. Although he's been in contact once with the late producer of the show, Mike Leckebusch, it seems that the contact with Radio bremen was never renewed! Well, maybe we'll be able to see this gem in 2015 or 2020, if ever!!

Wasn't this discussed some years ago on here?. And if i remember i think the concensus was that the Small Faces clips had been 'colourized'. Or perhaps i'm mistaken
