Am no expert on transmitters, but I wouldn't have thought so. The signal remained the signal. Remember King's Lynn got Belmont (Yorkshire) and I think they got the same card and service that Lincolnshire got. You could use the same premise for those near Oxford that got Hannington (Southern/Meridian/TVS) after 1970. I could pick up a VERY faint Anglia signal on the Surrey/Berks borders!
