Just been thinking about a period in which Ali Bongo seemed to be a regular guest on a number of variety shows including 'David Nixons magic box'.
That show was one of my favourites in the 1970 - 1971 period.
At that time Thames appeared to front a number of their productions in Monty Python style semi photographic title sequences.
Amongst those I recall apart from the famous 'Magpie' were 'Ace of Wands'; which like 'Magic Box' appeared to be in a similar artwork style; 'Mind of Mr JG Reeder, 'Shadows of Fear' and 'Bless this House'.
Of course Bongo also fronted his own cartoon compendium show referred to elsewhere on the forums on the BBC at that time, which i very vaguely seem to recall; though he was also largely featured in the earlier 'ZOKKO' editions I think.
