This exists at the BFI.
But if it didn't exist, posting it here would only push up the price as more people saw the advert. That's what happened last time a similar item turned up. It's one reason why Kal rarely bids on ebay items posted on public boards any more.
Are you the seller Simon? Or are you a bidder? If so, bid away because it's at the NFTVA so no one needs to spend hundreds of pounds buying it.

Actually, while I take your point regarding that the price might increase, I only reported it here as a courtesy to others who might like to purchase it.
And no, I am not the seller or bidder. Just trying to pass on some good news that's all. Perhaps you don't want me to alert interested parties in something potentially of interest? I'd rather it land up here than elsewhere to be honest.

It's a democracy Simon. People can post whatever they want.
But if its a missing show and it goes for a high amount, it is likely people on this board will miss out. The Rolf Harris went for £700 and we were outbid, but then the bidder couldn't find the money so we got a second chance.
We were lucky that time, but may not be lucky next time.
Plus there is the point that £700 is a lot to pay for one 16mm film anyway.
We negotiated a price to pay a seller last year and then he came back to us and said he wanted a higher price because ebay could make him more profit. I cheerfully sent him off to ebay and didn't negotiate further. Missing TV or not missing TV, I wont be enticed into spending more than Kal can afford lol.

Thanks for being vigilant. Since I was the one who posted the Rolf Harris here I count it as a painful lesson learned.  Please don't post eBay stuff here - PM one of the mods instead. Kaleidoscope seems to keep a close eye on eBay anyway, and posting it here could actually prevent it from being recovered! |
