Continuity is always rare, particularly the earlier stuff from the '60s, as it was not usually recorded officially. The examples here have been around for quite some time though, being transfers from early off-air reels.
The "July '69" Magpie insert is actually from around Easter of that year and the earliest known material surviving from the show.

I've been kind of inspired to do this by LanceM who used to do this in the TOTP and other music shows Forum. Like I said, I don't know if anything will turn up that's missing, but I thought, why not?

Another way of searching is looking for people who center their attention on the equipment and who regard the tapes as simply something to test their antique video equipment with.

Mr Wels, are the CV2100 transfers missing, then?

My guess is as good as yours... according to the kaleidoscope 2010 list, a whole set of cv2000 transfers had been around for years, but had never actually been returned. (I've seen them as well - they include a Tommy Cooper and a Benny Hill show.) So, yes, even looking on youtube might bring up something similar. I wouldn't be surprised if some recoveries are going to be made with the help of youtube. FYI. If any reel to reel recordings that have not yet turned to dust show up, it IS possible to transfer them electronically.

Thank you!
If anyone has any information on the Magpie CV2100 youtube transfers, or anything else, to let me know if it exists in archives or not, PLEASE PLEASE let me know!
There's already been some recoveries via mine and other finds on youtube, and although this in terms of quantity is a lot smaller than say the Bob Monkhouse recoveries, or the Library of Congress recoveries, every find is important!!!!

The Terry Martini transfers will be with Kaleidoscope if anyone. Chris Perry can probably tell you for sure though if he's reading this. If not, i've no idea where they would reside or indeed if they are safely kept anywhere.

If you mean the Youtube copies then I wouldn't really call anything on there as being "archived safely". Pretty poor resolution (even compared to VHS) when the originals were much higher quality. Terry's original dubs were to either Beta SP or Digibeta, if I remember rightly, which are what i'm talking about when I wonder what happened to the master copies.

Laurence, apart from the Magpie 69, do we know if any of the others exist?

The only surviving episode that is not on the DVD, I think, apart from DNAYStocking.

It was on their barely two weeks ago, it started with a sketch where they were discussing various modern objects, but the experts were saying they were antiques.
I'll have another look for it.
