Rather sadly there does not seem much left of Kenny's series he did for LWT called 'EV' either. An eccentric series with a rather peculiar guest list..... as of course you would expect. One of the guests was Maurice Woodruff an astrologer who many celebrities hung on his every word at the time, but was later depicted as a rather dodgy and controlling in a Peter Sellers biography film.

'Nice Time' was the first time I ever saw the footage of THE BEATLES performing SOME OTHER GUY 'live' at the Cavern In Liverpool, I am not sure if this was the first time it was ever shown but I think this programme used to be shown on Sunday tea time, Kenny was a big Beatles fan and he was very enthusiastic when this bit of footage was shown.

One of the guests was Maurice Woodruff an astrologer who many celebrities hung on his every word at the time, but was later depicted as a rather dodgy and controlling in a Peter Sellers biography film. Apparently there was a 15 min compilation from EV discovered on domestic format several years ago run by the NFA; but nothing heard since. It would be nice to think part might turn up on the end of a reel like 'Simon Dee Show'. EV was the one mainly in format similar to the first Thames series with animation in the titles; and a set of double screens as on THE GOODIES series 1. Kenny would say 'lets see whats behind this this week' then sometimes slam it shut as there would be a B movie monster clip. I recall a Cyclops monster and King Kong. He also said 'now.. this!!' and there was a cinema preview of an old version of 'Ben Hur' saying 'EARTH SHATTERING' etc in comic letters over shots of Roman chariot racers. He had similar gear to seres 1 of the Thames series; Beatles type boots and stay press trousers with a plain shirt. He either sat on a giant cushion on the floor with some kind of sun face design or a swivel chair. Transpose the Thames format back to 1970 a bit and add in the bands of the time like Whistle test format.

That's my webpage. Apparently a few episodes of Nice Time exist, but whether or not these fragments are found on the surviving eps, I don't know. These audio clips were first "released" on a Beatles bootleg LP in the 1970s and passed off as the Fab Four - "outfakes", as was so common then, prior to the age of better available information.
Interesting that another poster in this thread recalls Kenny broadcasting "Some Other Guy" on Nice Time, as another Beatles bootleg of that era features the last verse of that performance, preceded by a couple of syllables of unrelated talking. I have often wondered about the provenance of that recording, as perhaps it is possible that it originates from the same batch of audio tapes that a particular New Jersey Beatles collector acquired from someone in England.
