Last night BBC4 showed a compilation of bits from this programme with a common theme of early air flight. Does this mean that BBC now have the rights to Time to Remember in its entirety ? I remember as a kid it used to be shown on ITV, usually in the small hours of Sunday night (ok, Monday morning if we're being pedantic). It's a shame the programme last night didn't show the wonderful 'pendulum swinging' introduction.
And does All our Yesterdays still exist ?

Hi Brian, I also thought on reading the listings, that it was the old ABC series. Channel 4 repeated the whole series (well at least 37 of them) around 1989/90. Being the Pathe news material and being narrated by such august personalities, I would have thought they all survive and like you, I hope BBC4 do do a rpt run. Davidx

I remember Thames screening these in an afternoon weekday slot around the late '60s / very early '70s. If the memorable pendulum titles were not present, what did they use in their place, Brian? Just interrested to know.

Laurence, presumably because it was a themed compilation, the introductory titles were not from the time of the original programme, just something bog-standard from modern times. There was also a voiceover introduction, again far from the magisterial tones of Sir Michael Redgrave etc !

Sometimes it was narrated by Basil Rathbone. It was shown on Sundays at teatime in the late 50s or early 60s.
