I know this board is specifically about UK Television Shows, but the recent discussion about censorship and clips, has made me curious about a well-known US cartoon series, Beavis and Butthead(aha aha hmmm).
The early showings(c. 1993) were treated with some hostility, and the infamous fire incident caused many early shows to be re-edited/censored. All subsequent screenings are the "new" versions.
My question is, do any of these shows still survive in their original forms? Eg. "FIRE! FIRE!" I remember seeing an interview with Mike Judge a few years ago where even HE said he believed that many early shows now only exist in censored form.
Thanks
Simon

I believe that there is a bootleg containing all of the 'censored' episodes, including the fire bit. I can't tell you where to find these due to Forum restrictions, but a little bit of internet searching may well prove fruitful for you.

I think Mike Judge was referring to the original masters being missing, as opposed to being completely missing, the copies "doing the rounds" are old off-air VHS's I do believe?
