seeing as it's from as early as 1969 it could "POSSIBLY" have any number of things on it

well, I was going ot bid on it, but it turns out the main item is a tape deck. I can't justify bidding for another!! (and it's up to £62 already!!)

Buy the lot, get the tape then resell the tape player on ebay without the tape. you will probably get all your money back and get to keep the tape as a bonus. thats my tip.

Or buy the lot, go through the tapes (picking out any that are of value to keep), then sell the recorder plus the rest of the tapes. I'm sure with many of the ebay tape auctions where people are vague or play dumb about what's on the tapes, they've probably already gone through them and are just selling them to make a quick buck.

if the seller has no idea about missing stuff (the bliss of ignorance) it's unlikely that they would know about something as vague as the wine of india for example, so it's possible but unlikely that there might be some stuff there. Also, just thought of a point, we dont know WHICH moon landings they are, I know that the famous ones are the 1969 ones but they might be later ones (i think the last were early 70s but I cant confirm it) It might also be a documentary about it. Horizon and tommorow's world existed back then (that's where missing clips from out of the unknown came from).

The seller is only a few miles away from me. I've just asked a question through Ebay regarding the tapes and any more details.

This is the reply:
"I'm not the original owner so it?s impossible to say. Many of the recordings are documented as being stereo so I'm guessing that they are probably from radio broadcasts. It?s unclear from the documentation in the tape boxes but some could be live recordings of recitals. The actual Moon landing tape documentation simply says "The day that man landed on the Moon?. Sorry I can't be of more assistance on this."
