Apologies if this has been posted before, but it's new to me. This link is for a 20-minute BBC documentary from 1974 which includes lots of backstage scenes at TOTP, camera shots etc from the Xmas '73 show. Seems to be from a show called "Scene"? www.youtube.com/watch?v=-imp20dP0CM

This comes from the 1974 docu "scene"
Broadcast:
28/02/74 Title:
SCENE: ALL THAT GLITTERS:1:THE SWEET Description: Series for schools and colleges. This week's programme charts 24 hours in the life of rock band The Sweet. Is the music business really that glamorous? With band members Brian CONNOLLY, Steve PRIEST, Mick TUCKER and Andy SCOTT.
And what you don't see on U tube includes the band performing teenage rampage intro by Johnnie Walker.
Total differnt performance as to the Jimmy savile one:

This is a new one on me - not seen this before, so thanks for posting the link! Always great to see behind the scenes stuff at TOTP - does anyone know of any other "behind the scenes" TOTP material that is available online?
I'd love to see the Chris Searle "In at the Deep End" again - where he directs a Banarama video (Chris Searles directed video version never got used by the band in the end!!!) That documentary featured some behind the scenes TOTP material from circa 1987, with some gallery shots etc.....

I have an old VHS with the Jam at TOTP - rehearsal shots, interviews etc doing "Town Called Malice" and "Precious". I can't remember exactly which show it was used on, one of those why-is-music-on-TV-so-bad ones, I think. It may have ABC on it, too. I daresay this still exists somewhere as it's from the early '80s.
