People may be interested to know that a new programme in the Unforgettable series celebrating showbusiness legends is coming soon, devoted to Bob Monkhouse. Kaleidoscope were consultants on this edition and provided access into Bob's personal archive, some material from which will be featured.

The Unforgettable Bob Monkhouse airs on ITV1 on Sunday 8th August 2010 at 9.00pm.

Just thought I'd say that I enjoyed this programme, as it doesn't seem to have been mentioned since its transmission. Nice to see some clips from Bob's collection being used and I look forward to seeing what BBC 4 will be doing in relation to Bob too.

It was certainly a positive programme, though it didn't really give very much away - I doubt there was anything in there we didn't already know about Bob, and didn't mention his archiving activities at all. But as a celebration of his life in 45 minutes, perhaps it was as it should be. The myriad of old clips were certainly interesting enough.
