Has been done - All of series 1 not known to exist - the master tape of the last edition from 1970 appeared to be saved possibly on request of Producer Paul Ciani who saved other stuff he did.
In addition a second edition from earlier in the 69 - 70 series turned up slightly later (c 1990) than the listed one. This was a film T/R.
Oliver Cox came on a while back talking about his mum producing series 1 (Molly Cox of PLAY SCHOOL). Though Paul Cianis interest may be what saved the former described item, we note the earlier edition is a T/R. This may indicate ZOKKO was transferred to film for export purposes including the first series.
I can't confirm the last point, but it opens the avenue for some junked prints beinfg out there in private hands.

Just to clarify, the two surviving items are both from the second series and appear to be early 1970, a few weeks apart. One on b/w VT (the last show) and one on t/r, as John says.
It's a real shame nothing exists from series 1 as I clearly recall this had the stronger format; anyone looking at the surviving shows will be puzzled. The original format and linking devices were partially dispensed with by series 2 (and not replaced by anything else). As a result, it doesn't exactly make proper sense to anyone who didn't see the first series!
