Maybe a few of you are aware of this already, but there is a short clip here of some 1974 BBC continuity and the opening titles of a wiped Sutherland's Law. Apparantly, this is missing, and like anything which appears to be no longer in the appropriate archive, I will get in touch with the poster this week. There is a discussion below the clip. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM093OrW-Eg

Hi Ray
It's not missing, it's from an old 1500 tape of Eric Morecambe's.
We showed it three years ago, BBC have a copy.
The guy who did the transfer for the BBC foolishly copied it out to a few 'trusted friends' and obviously one of them has betrayed his trust and put it on youtube.
Sadly this is why increasingly TV companies are becoming more reluctant to provide DVD screeners because many so-called 'researchers' have no such credentials and the material is then sold on ebay or put on youtube illegally.

Thanks Chris,
my message to you 'crossed' if you like, in cyberspace!
For me, the saving grace for youtube is tracking stuff down (been handy so far), but I completely agree with you in regard to betraying trust.
I just want everything SAVED, the best method is it being copied/preserved/cleaned up as appropriate and returned to the original broadcaster/archive, either directly or via your good selves at Kal.

I myself got a copy of this from a collector, who had again got it from someone else as you say. This person on youtube got it from a torrent website, where it had been available for a short time. Just the opening credits? Can't say that I see any real damage here. In fact, when shows are recovered they should be made accessible. Otherwise people won't bother to return anything, as it will just be put on a shelf somewhere.
