There was the woman announcer at the end of one of THE QUATERMASS EXPERIMENT eps, which was used in the series TELEVISION in the early 80s where she said the next eps of THE QUATERMASS EXPERIMENT will be shown next Sat...etc;

A really nice discovery. The chances of us ever finding any more recordings from the production are remote, but things like this are still lovely and its wonderful when they turn up.

Nice pics - wish I'd known about them when I was producing the DVD release!

The existence of the pics were only known about in May this year Steve, when I collected Richard Greenough's archive holdings. Prior to this, other than Richard, no one knew they existed.

Telesnaps were taken of Qutermass II, but nothing has ever turned up from The Quatermass Experiment.
Some general photographs were taken during production of Quatermass Experiment. A number of these images were published in The Quatermass Experiment script-book (published by Penguin in 1959 and re-printed by Arrow Books in 1979). I think, that's about it.
However, other stuff might exist. Perhaps, the Radio Times picture archive would be a good place to look. I don't know if Ralph has ever found anything.

None of the photos from the Quatermass script book exist in the BBC library, in fact I wasn't able to track down very many from either of the first two stories. Thankfully a lot more exists from QatP, and Toby Hadoke was able to find me lots of others from the private collections of Cec Linder and Clifford Hatts.

Simon, is there any chance you could arrange for copies of the Greenough photos to be returned to the BBC for posterity and potential future use? My email is steve.roberts@bbc.co.uk

I suppose that the Quatermass Experiment photos might still exist in the archives at Penguin, but it'd probably cost quite a bit to get them out.
When they prepared the reprint of the script-book in 1979, they reused the same plates, so I suppose they must have still existed then.
