the brief glimpse of the charts in this clip shows it at no 16 so this may help date it although the clip of the charts appears to be in colour while the song clip is in black and white so must have been inserted later. Marmalade reflections of my life is also lised in the chart

This clip is taken from the Dutch BR DVD entitled ""Het beste uit de Top 40 '65-'74". This 1970 Top of the Pops clip is not listed in the BBC archive but exists in Holland as did the Kinks 'Wonderboy' Top of the Pops clip which too is available on DVD.

Two other things are very interesting in this clip:
I guess the female singing group are "The Ladybirds" and to me the guy behind the keyboards has a lot of the stature of Elton John wich is very interesting, because Elton (also known as Reginald Dwight) recorded the same song with his lead vocals as a session man for a low budged label LP in those days.
Just a thought.

It's not TOTP it's from the BBC show 'Disco 2' and as nicadare says it can be found on the BR dvd ""Het beste uit de Top 40 '65-'74".

So, here's the million dollar question, where have you found the best place to purchase this DVD?

Considering Elton's been mentioned earlier in the thread, could it be Dee Murray on bass?

I've seen the whole of this edition of Disco 2, and that's definitely Elton on keys. I think this clip has even been screened by the Beeb in the last few years as being an early tv appearance of Elton.
