It Is Midnight Dr Schweitzer has been uploaded to YouTube by the Alexandra Palace Television Society Archive. The action takes place at night at Dr. Schweitzer’s hospital at Lambaréné, in Gabon, French Equatorial Africa. The time: August 2, 1914, the twenty-four hours before the outbreak of the first world war. This play was transmitted on Thursday 26th February 1953 and was telerecorded ‘as live’. This gives it the honour of being the oldest surviving recorded televisoin drama held at the BBC Film & Video Library. must get a copy of this had a look on you tube...Reginald Tate...Andre Morell the two Quatermass's together. Would've been great if John Robinson woud've been in the cast as well!
