Quick plug for a Youtube video I uploaded yesterday. In 1973, Belgian television visited Television Centre for the documentary 'Spécial BBC'. The Youtube video contains all contemporary TVC footage: Johnny Walker playing discs, Brian Hudson reading the news, and Midweek journalist Nicholas Harman explaing the pros and cons of BBC journalism (in French). www.youtube.com/watch?v=btgoClCa65gThe complete programme runs for about fifty minutes; most of it is devoted to an overview of the BBC's past. I recorded it when it was repeated around 2004. Enjoy!

Great upload!
I love the fact that as soon as Johnny Walker starts, he immediately lights up a ciggy. Can you imagine that happening nowadays... ;D

Shows that the Beeb was packed with lefties even back then.

How many British journos now at the Beeb would be able to hold a conversation like the journo in the clip!
Not many I bet!
