I have an audio soundtrack of the 1960 episode featuring TOMMY CUMMINS. I take it the video no longer exists?

Hi Richard,

There are twenty editions missing from 1960 and it appears on first sight that the recording you have is one of them. I don't suppose by any chance there's a transmission date on your tape or box at all or anything else recorded on the tape that could narrow things down a bit?

No- sadly just the date 1960 in a book accompanying the tapes from where this one originated. The vast majority of the rest of the tapes are 1970s. If it helps Cummins was a mainstay of Pathe News. I know the papers are archived.

I can't find anything about it at the BBC and with twenty episodes missing from 1960, I'd say it's almost certainly lost.
Keep it in a safe place.

What's the quality like, Richard? Presumably it's on reel to reel tape. I wanted to add the details to the 2010 discoveries thread above so any details you have would be useful. Does anyone have a tx date for this edition?
