THe website hasn't been updated since 2007. It's one of a raft of their websites that they discontinued updating as a cost cutting measure.
Just goes to show how important their archive is.

Can you say - by U2U if necessary - which episodes that do not exist you are getting - it may be that they have been recovered since that listing.

I take it these episodes are pirate downloaded copies? I would love for a Z-Cars release

Wouldn't we all, Joe!
No one has done so yet but just a reminder of forum rules here: no links to download sites of pirated material please, folks.

I am getting a box set of z cars soon... With the greatest respect to you Paul, buying this sort of stuff from bootleggers over the internet does absolutely nothing to encourage the legal copyright owners to consider releasing the material properly on DVD. It makes me grimace every time I read someone admitting to lining the pockets of bootleggers for old television or film titles.

A quick check on www.lostshows.com gives you the answer to most things anyway. We update the site a bit quicker than the Treasure Hunt lol. c

Especially when if you ask nicely there is usually someone who will share their copy for free! There isn't any need to line the bootleggers pockets.

The episodes that state they do not exist are Contraband A matter of give and take Brotherly love I may be mistaken, but I think these episodes, or at least two of them, were located on ebay a while back. I recall some postings about a collective bid being drawn up, or a private sale, to ensure the recovery, and of asking people not to be bidding potentially against other people on here.

I would just like to say that I did not metion anything about money exchanging hands for this box set. I also believe that they will never release this stuff on dvd. I also got a softly softly box set and dixon of dock green. It's they only way i will be able to see these episodes as i was not born when this stuff was first transmitted. So if getting this stuff makes a bad person then so be it.

The BBC will only release z cars if they know there is a huge demand for it because they need to know wether they will make any profit from the dvd sales. I would love them to release an offical DVD of Z CARS. They also have a lot of work to be done on as the prints need to be cleaned and repaired.
