Episodes three through six are gone for good. Would somehow animating it with new actor be a good idea using the scripts?

I must say I enjoyed the live remake a few years ago on BBC4 - thoroughly entertaining.
It's unfortunate that the BBC didn't persevere with the T/R for all of the episodes.

I know but do you think an animated version like 'The Invasion' Doctor Who DVD would be a good idea. With new actors. Even if is, Cosgrove Hall have enough on their hands.

I would go for a full blown 6 hour remake...followed by remakes of Quatermass II...then , The Pit..... but beginning with parts of the 1979 story where Quatermass begins telling his stories...The Quatermass Memoirs?. If you go to page 190 of Nigel Kneales 1979 book QUATERMASS it starts with Quatermass inside the Abbey again it is now derelict but he stands in the exact spot where the thing was all those years before...and he remembers how it was made to destroy itself...and so on, it would make a great beginning for a new way of redoing the Quatermass serials.

yes, a full remake using original scripts etc would be cool. I enjoyed the recent remake but I dont think animation would especially flatter this tbh.

If any remakes are done, the original theme and sequence music is a must. Thankfully, all the music used for the three '50s dramas is listed. Trevor Duncan's music, particularly for the third serial, is a must.
Also, using the original scripts means setting the dramas in the 1950s, which is essential if there is to be a sense of embarking on an uncertain and hazardous adventure, which was the case with respect to rocket science research in the '50s.

Yeah the 4th serial was ok but the music was too nice, where were all the creepy parts,? I like this serial but was dissapointed when I read that John Mills was reluctant to do it if there would have been monsters in it. I wasnt keen on the Huffity Puffity bits, I have thought many times about Quatermass being set in modern times, but I think it probably would work better set in the 50s, as they wouldnt know what they are dealing with then.

I have mentioned somewhere before that the BBC were going to do a radio version in 1964 of QUATERMASS AND THE PIT but it never got passed the planning stage. Perhaps it would be good to do radio versions of all 4 serials ,it probably would be cheaper and I think it would be interesting. I think so anyway.

A good idea, Philip. In fact, you got me thinking about starting a new thread!
