Just a little advance notice that Freewheelers is scheduled to receive a rare airing via the Film24 digital channel. An episode is going out this Friday at 1pm.
Two other Southern Television series, Dick Barton Special Agent and The Flockton Flyer, are also being shown at present.

I was told this was the series 6 of Freewheelers being shown. Any chance of more coming out on dvd now that series 6 is? I would like to see the first series and maybe series 7. The final series (8) wasn't up to much though and so I'm not too bothered about that one.

This channel has been showing a lot more Southern series over the past months - I've counted about 7 different Southern TV series running so far. In fact, they are showing almost all of the series recently released on dvd by Renown.
Southern shows are also regualrly turning up on Movies 4 Men as well.
