As far as I can tell it's been cancelled, or at least postponed for quite some time. The BBC Shop cancelled my order for it prior to release and effectively said that it wasn't being released. There has been a further cd of 2 missing radio episodes released on the same date though, containing "Sid James' Dad" and "The Diet".
Not aware of an announcement about it - I did post some time ago to ask if anybody was aware of what was going on with it, but nobody came out to play!!!
I do recall Charles Norton (who was involved in returning the audios to the BBC) saying on this very forum that the first release contained the best audio quality 2 episodes and that the 2nd one would contain the next best 2 episodes audio quality-wise.
Maybe it was something to do with the audio quality? I certainly found the first release difficult to listen to (slightly dodgy hearing!), so maybe the BBC had some complaints..? Note that this is pure speculation on my part - it'd be nice to have an official confirmation.....
Maybe Charles knows more...?
