Does any member of this forum know of the existance of this collection of films that appears on various torrent web sites?
It is supposed to contain material that was both tx'd and not, and contains behind the scenes views of Alexandra Palace, when used as a production centre.
The details are as follows:
Alexandra Palace Miscellany - BBC 1950s/1960s (B/W)
A precursor to the Christmas tapes of the 1970s & 1980s, here are some short films made by staff at Alexandra Palace in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
AP Christmas Party_1961.avi: A filmed record of a Christmas party thrown for the children of staff at AP.
AP News.avi: Wallace Greenslade presents a spoof television news bulletin. BBC 1962.avi: A comic look at the then-future of television, with, among others, Richard Baker.
BBC News February1958.avi: a genuine February 1958 news bulletin, with Robert Dougall. The Fred Bogg Show.avi: A sci-fi lark showing the AP corridors in all their glory. The News Story.avi: A Richard Baker-narrated look at news, 1957-style.
The News Story Spoof news plus ultra.avi: a re-edited comic version of the previous item.
Is this material available from other sources? I'm planning on presenting more archive material at our annual reunion in 2010 and would love to be able to show APTS members this series of films.
Any help on this topic from forum members would be much appreciated.

It was recovered in 1998 and shown at the 1998 'Missing, Believed Wiped' event. Yours,
