Two first series episodes only survive as slightly edited versions on off-air VHS, I think. Apart from that, they all exist.

That is correct. I am amazed that better copies have not been found of the two previously lost shows since I returned them to the BBC. You'd think someone would have bought the DVD set and gone "Hey, my copy of those episodes is better than the BBC's copies..." It is great that they were released in the First Series set though. Both are important to the overall storyline, and the scene where the Sgt Major has an argument with the medical clerk is worth the recovery alone.
