...of We Have Ways Of Making You Laugh? I guess I was hoping that Bob might have recorded something of the opening night of LWT.
And how much 1960s off-air video material is there in the collection as a whole? I'd gained the impression that there's hours and hours of it, but the reports from the Kal event seem to suggest that most of the clips sourced from off-air videotape were from the 70s.

I'd certainly like to see an episode of WHWOMYL myself.
There is some off-air video from the '60s but I was wondering that myself too. From what has been said in various places though, it seems that some of the oldest recorded material was discarded by Bob a long time back (sadly) for some reason. Quite a few of the earliest numbered tapes (the CV-2000s etc.) have gone from the collection, it seems. I saw some examples of '60s video at the BAFTA event but would be keen to see a complete list of just the '60s off-air video that still exists in the collection (and any examples of him having optained any 2" video masters as well, if there are any).
Can Chris Perry enlighten further?

Haven't got it yet though, Chris, as you know! I'm waiting for the paperback version. Can you fill us in on that one programme in the meantime..?

Read the book is the advice I would give.
There are threads on here and other boards, and emails direct to us all asking about 'just one query'. I could spend a lifetime answering them all. :-)
The paperback will be available by next week, and will be on sale at MBW in January.
Remember, this book helps to pay the huge storage cost of storing the Bob Monkhouse tapes so we can't sell it short.

No one's asking you to, Chris. I'm planning on buying a copy myself anyway so there's no big deal, is there?. It was just one query and i'm sure it wouldn't take more than a few seconds to page through and find out, to give a simple "yes" or "no" one word answer to a pretty basic query of whether or not any WHWOMYL was uncovered! You never know, it may even act as a sales pitch and wet a few people's appetites to buy a copy!!

Every person enquiring thinks they are asking 'just one query'.
We publish comprehensive, detailed books of all sorts so people can look for themselves. We don't have the time to answer all the queries that come in, or we'd have no time for new research lol.

He didn't have any Ways Of Making You Laugh. Most early materials he kept are programmes he was in.
