Stephen, you are a regular poster here asking generic questions like, "does such and such exist"? The answer is quite easy to find out with most general queries and you could do the research yourself? May I suggest consulting www.lostshows.com first and then if the answer isn't there, you could post out a query on the board that we could try to answer? Thanks Chris

Indeed, it's a very useful resource.
Why would you think that - out of all the series - only series 2 was archived, Stephen? Most of the run, if not all of it, has been repeated at various times / places throughout the '80s / '90s anyway, which you must recall.

The whole series exists except for the Comedy Playhouse pilot and the first, short, b/w series with Polly James and Pauline Collins, only a short film sequence from one episode of that series exists, plus the titles. There is also an untx'd pilot for a spin-off series featuring Michael Angelis's character, 'Lucian', this also exists.

Am I right in adding the titles for the Comedy Playhouse showing Pauline Collins also exists? (c 1969).

Yes, this was covered by Andrew Martin's post. The titles for the "Comedy Playhouse" would be the "Comedy Playhouse" titles of the time, I'm not sure if they do exist as there is only one "Comedy Playhouse" existing from 1969 ("Up Pompeii") and I don't remember that having a CP title sequence on it (they may of course have been using the same title sequence as for previous episodes of CP). The titles only definitely exist for the series of "Liver Birds" with Pauline Collins, also from 1969, of which one copy is on the reel of film inserts (from the 25/7/69 edition).

That sounds like what I've seen then. Confusion arose as I wasn't aware of any Pauline Collins episodes surviving.

Sorry of that sounded confusing.
I should add I had seen the titles of a Pauline Collins edition I believed were from the 'Comedy Playhouse'; as I didn't know there was a complete series also featuring her.
The 'Comedy Playhouse' should have featured the individual plays titles as with the series following the 'Comedy Playhouse' bit as they did tend to. (I.E. 'Are you being served' pilot).
