Whilst having a quick nose around Play.com's Clearance Sale I spotted Bod The Complete Series amongst the items listed!
Contained within the product description is the following:
"This DVD contains all the thirteen episodes of 'Bod'. Also features the five surviving episodes of Alberto Frog And His Amazing Animal Band"
I'm puzzled. Why would the Alberto Frog elements be 'missing' when the original episodes were broadcast containing those sequences? Were the Bod story animations and Alberto Frog pieces stored separately which resulted in the retention of all the Bod parts but not the Alberto Frog parts?

The Bod films were made by Bodfilms, appropriately enough, but, to boost the running time to fill the Watch with Mother timeslot, the Alberto Frog, Snap game etc (all the Maggie Henderson voiced bits, basically) segments were made by the BBC on VT. 'Bod' was one of the childrens series affected by the junkings in 1993 that have been discussed here before, but copies of the original Bod films existed outside the BBC so have survived sans frog. I think there is a missing Alberto Frog segement on you tube, maybe more off-air recordings might turn up..

A bit O/T, but does anyone know what the piece of music that Alberto's band always used to play was..?
