Why oh why did an ad from Google pop up on the home page for six episodes of this "classic" series when I logged on? I won't encourage this by naming the site but do you have any control over this sort of thing?
Just asking as any Hancock is worth having and I'd like to see Network do this one day....

It'll never be released while Roger Hancock Ltd have any say over it... they don't regard it as being one of Tony's finest hours...

I have seen half a dozen episodes (courtesy of a well known auction site) and whilst not being Hancock at his best, it certainly is entertaining and i would'nt say it does his reputation any harm

As it is extemely unlikely that there will be a dvd release of this series in the near future, sadly it's only through sites like the one above that people can see any of these episodes. I managed to pick up a copy from ebay earlier in the year (ebay have since changed their listing policy which has prevented sellers from putting copied material up for sale) - whilst it's not up to his earlier standards, it does have its moments and I would still buy it if it was ever released commercially.

My point was I suppose the site has no control on what pop up ads appear courtesy of Google? I have no problem with keepers of the flame (however flickering it was after 1961) acquiring stuff that is never likely to obtain a commercial release providing someone isn't sitting there making money selling substandard copies of it.
Late Hancock has its moments - for all the bad press it got at the time I found Hancock At The Royal Festival Hall very watchable when the NFT showed it last year. Inevitably dated but certainly no worse than most of the so-so stand up on TV these days.
