We all know from this site that the video of this legendary Peter Cook hosted chat show is no longer around, but I was watching the BBC2 doc "At A Slight Angle to the Universe" again last night and they had audio clips from the show. Does anyone know how much audio material exists, cos I would love to hear it. Another documentary I was watching recently, about Malcolm Muggeridge, had a clip of a Peter Cook sketch mocking old Mugg, and the screen caption said it was untransmitted footage. It was in b/w and looked like it was from the early 70s but I have had no luck in finding out what it was made for. Anyone have any ideas? Lastly, the Good vs Evil cricket match from series 3 of Not Only But Also is supposed to exist, but it is never shown and wasnt on the "Best of Whats Left of..." video, and in Dick Fiddy's "Missing Believed Wiped" book he doesnt list it as being one of the existing film sequences. Has it gone missing? Oh, I said lastly, but I lied....there was home audio of missing Not Only But Also material on a Radio 4 doc at Xmas...anyone know exactly what has been found from these audios? The clips were very short. Cheerz Geeef

Oops. When I said "this legendary Peter Cook hosted chat show" I forgot to say it was "Where Do I Sit". I know it's the only chat show he ever hosted but I thought I had better make myself explicit, if you know what I mean ;D

According to Harry Thompson's book on Peter Cook The Good Vs Evil sketch was still in the BBC archives in 1982, when it was surreptitiously copied for Peter Cook, and had disappeared before the production of The Best Of What's Left Of... Probably still exists on VHS at least.
