What was the name of this kids series that used to be on Sunday tea time, the action usually centred around a travelling circus and they usually got involved in scrapes with villains. One of the leading actors looked like trumpet player Kenny Ball. I think it was on in the early or mid 70s?

I think it was called "Circus" though I don't recall it going out on a Sunday, didnt one week feature a cliffhanger with the brakes failing on a circus truck because someone had cut the wires?

I think this Circus show was discussed in an earlier posting (2 years ago?). Was the show "Right Charlie" made by the BBC using the Blackpool Tower Circus, and the clown that did look a bit like Kenny Ball was the great Charlie Caroli, and the ring master was Norman Barrratt? and yes it was certainly around 1972/73 as I remember watching it as a 4 or 5 year old.

Yes, you are right with Right Charlie, but thats triggered off my memories of a drama series from later on in the 70s, possibly 76?
