It's a film series. They all exist.

I saw the first episode, circa late 1958 - early 1959, 'Lovely Lady Pity Me'. Stu Bailey (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) dances with a female (client) to a tune played from a reel to reel audio tape recording machine in his office. Later stories in subsequent series had 'Caper' in their titles.
Here are the lyrics (music and lyrics by Music by Mack David and Jerry Livingston), but without the finger clicks.
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip. Seventy Seven Sunset Strip. Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
The street that wears a fancy label That's glorified in song and fable. The most exciting people pass you by Including a private eye.
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip Seventy Seven Sunset Strip Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
You'll meet the high brow and the hipster The starlet and the phony tripster You'll see most every kind of gal and guy Including a private eye.
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
Yours,
