But to come back to my question: It's been half suggested that Association with Windy was the TOTP clip. It was not aired, but still exists. But that facebook clip would seem to rule out that idea? The letters "beat club" in the back seem to be original, right? So doesn't that rule out the possibility that it was TOTP footage? So, no chance of a recovery there.
Did I get that straight? I really don't know much about this subject so any simple comment is welcome.

That Association clip on Beat Club is around for decades. It was never thought to be a TOTP clip. When did this rumour start?

It's been half suggested that Association with Windy was the TOTP clip. Whoever half suggested it are clearly wholly mistaken.

Although a big hit in the US, don't think it was released in the UK or if it was, did not stay long enough in the charts for TOTPs to be interested in it.
Sometime mistaken for 'Wendy' and the tune was adapted for the Thames local news programme 'Today'

Alright, that seems clear enough. That's the problem with meddling in a topic that you don't know very well.

Thanks. It was probably the fact that it was unaired that made some people hope it was from TOTP. The clip that's out there must be an inside job - unless it was taken from some other broadcast. But the only thing I know is that Beat Club apparently did not show it (I emailed the station). Actually, I just found this site: tvrdb.com/totp/ Any experiences? Is this generally correct and up to date?

It was probably the fact that it was unaired that made some people hope it was from TOTP. Who are these people? Oh it was somewhere in a long list of potential recoveries from Germany. Probably based on an earlier misreading somewhere.
