yes they appear to have one or two missing ITV shows including a first season "No Hiding Place" - I pointed this out to the BFI early last year so they may have made contact, I know Dick Fiddy was very keen on finding more NHP at the time.

The owner of the website is aware that they are missing but I believe he only has them on VHS. I have asked in the past if it would be possible to trace the original contacts to get the prints loaned to the NFTVA, but I got no response. Either he doesn't know the original contacts directly or has politely ignored the question for reasons of his own which I've respected.

I can answer your queries as I know the collector who owned the prints, but sold them on. There were two no Hiding Place episodes are I think (stressing the think) I have professional telecines on S-VHS.

Something I should mention is that a fair proportion of these often ropey copies (vhs) of old tv shows come from private 16mm prints. In most cases, there are far better copies, though with e-bay and the like, the owners may be unlikely to offer people good quality dubs.

They might have soon as they are the current high bidder for the missing No Hiding Place episode on ebay, but bidding £1.99 might mean they're outbid!!!  |
