Hello All
Rumaging through a market stall, under several boxes of films on cement making I found a box full of BBC marked audio tapes.
Most seem to be magnetic sound tracks from unedited location film recordings.

I have been able to check most of these tapes for content one or two need restoration and are currently unplayable due to splicing tape turning to goo. There are also 3 other tapes which I have been unable to identify in any way.
Also one reel of 8mm film in a BBC can which I have been unable to check due to lack of equipment.

I thought I would post it here in case any of this was of interest.

Sounds like you've found some interesting stuff there. The best people to approach would probably be Chris Perry at Kaleidoscope (contact via their website). They will sift through the material, see if it's missing / of interest and get in touch with the BBC or whoever. In my experience, it's better to go through a body like Kal rather than direct to the TV company as they're dedicated to locating missing material and you are guaranteed a response.
