I've just got in from having a couple of pints in my local, The Bell in Old Charlton Road, Shepperton. I was interested infinding that since I last visited (a matter of a couple of months) some photos had been put up by the landlord. Two are obviously publicity photos (although I didn't see a BBC logo anywhere on them) of a scene from a programme where there is a road block, put up by the Home Guard, across the street. It was obviously filmed in the street where the pub is, because it can be seen in the background. More interestingly, above those, in a separate frame, are two 'snaps' presumably taken by a local resident of the filming. No cameras present, just one shot of the cast and extras, and another of two vehicles used in the scene. From this vague description, does anyone have any idea which episode it might be?

I tried taking a pic with my phone, but it was too dark to come out!

The roadblock scene, if the roadblock is a load of stacked furniture, would be from the film, made by Columbia, not the BBC.

Ah! That then makes complete sense, it being filmed near Shepperton. I'm now presuming the film was shot at Shepperton. As we know, the exteriors for the tv series were generally filmed in Norfolk.

As far as I recall, all the external scenes in the film were shot in the village centre and surrounding area of Chalfont St. Peter in Buckinghamshire and Seaford in Sussex, with studio work done at Shepperton.
Hope that helps.
