I'm sorry for the distateful subject matter, but if anyone anywhere is likely to know the name and date/s of the transmission and any other details then it's going to be here.
I have been doing some research in to a programme or series of programmes shown by BBC Television in or around 1965/6/7 which involved coverage of the war crimes trials of various Nazi's that had been tracked down and put on trial for their war crimes, I believe that it covered events in Auschwitz and also various other concentration camps, war crimes in general.
From what I have so far discovered the broadcast/s began first with interviews with Jews and others who had been in the concentration camps who testified as to what had been done to them, such as experimentation, torture and so on. The evidence by those in the concentration camps was first heard, then I believe that the Nazi's were tried and sentenced, or not, due to whatever evidence was heard regarding each one.
This is where I have drawn a blank, what exactly was this programme or programmes called, what was the transmission date and do they still survive in the BBC archive?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Peter.
