Wonder if anyone can offer any clues to the following?
Recalled around 1970 probably Spring - Summer; BBC1 ran on Tuesdays I think a slot 'BRITISH FILM COMEDY'. On this occasion the Elder from my Mums church was visiting and I recall I has some kind of 'Hot Wheels' set clamoed to one of the chairs.
The film was what they called 'a black comedy'. Around 7' 0 clock. The date was probably 1949 - 59. In the scene I recall a portly bald man is driving in a big open top car like a Daimler along Country roads.
Suddenly he was seen accelerating faster and faster down a hill laughing to himself. The tone was jolly then went sinister as he crashed deliberately into a tree.
Wondered if anyone can identify the movie?
