Missing material on VHS

Is their anything that has been junked in the past 10 - 15 years that people on here might have on VHS?

I taped loads of stuff from UK Gold on a saturday and sunday, mainly the vintage kids shows, Record Breakers, Animal Magic and Blue Peter. I discovered that the master tapes for some of these were wiped shortly after and that UK Gold had made their own back-up copies, so maybe we have stuff that we have taped that has now been wiped.

Also while i'm here what is the archive status for the coverage of Princess Diana's death on the BBC, i taped over 24 hours of it continuiosly from the Sunday morning at 7am through till Monday at midday.

I remember reading that some of the BBC's coverage of 9/11 is missing.

I know that if it was not for people obtaining internal dubs of some BBC programmes in 71 edit stage we would have lost unused scenes for some DVD releases while others had studio material copied that was wiped on its master so the VHS copies provided the only source of this for new digital extras for some DVD's
