Despite getting a poor response from the BBC some years ago, I might be willing to give this another try....
I have reels of audio tape that contain BBC coverage of Apollo 12-17. Some are better quality than others. Apollo 16 I recorded myself, on a decent-quality reel-to-reel deck. Unfortunately, Apollo 17 is not such good quality, simply because the TV we had in those days wasn't too great. But all the coverage is there. News reports during the Skylab flights in 1973, and the complete coverage of the 1975 Apollo-Soyuz flight are there - and all in good quality, despite being recorded via microphone.
I have transferred all this stuff (among hundreds of other recordings) to CD. They've all been expertly copied (if I say so myself) with no loss of frequencies.
I wouldn't want to part with the original reels, for sentimental reasons. But would the BBC be interested in CD copies of all this material?
I'd welcome any comments.
Colin.

We do have now an almost complete audio of the Apollo 11 coverage but are on the lookout for anything which could cover what we don't have for that mission and all the others. Cheers, Paul

OK, Paul. How do we proceed? Hi Colin. The best thing to do is to send me via a PM as much information as you have. We can then arrange to have a listen. If you're in Birmingham you could pop into the Mailbox and we could have a listen there. Regards, Paul
